North Slope operations morale at critical levels.

Now that the totalitarian management regime at Kuparuk have lost their wits by demanding pay cuts from the contractors (mainly ASRC) and giving that money to themselves.

Causing a reaction that has ASRC employees assembling for union formation to combat the wage cutting and poor management/treatment going on since the beginning of time.

The management regime at Kuparuk has managed to offer "free" internet to the outside world-that does not actually work, banned Pandora from streaming -leaving no feeling of normalization

or individualism from the workplace, fire anyone who has a true accident (be it driving or physical craft work), very rudimentary food (almost communist like), ruined it's reputation in the state

for future employees aka: "The highest paying prison on the planet", causing recruitment to reach into the far depths of the lower 48. Is COP in a position to keep the River Units (Kuparuk and Alpine) or are they up for sell soon?

If you think the free internet doesn't work, then you must be trying to download porn. It works for email and news just fine. You can pay for the fast stuff if you really want it. As for the food, I think most people on the slope can handle a little weight loss. It's only going to get worse from what I hear. And Pandora. This whine makes me embarrassed to be a sloper.

Finally, if ASRC tries to unionize, you can bet the union busting will be going strong. No way no how. I'd love to see ASRC lose some contracts. Their off-slope management is the problem. End workers get screwed by them while their leadership rolls in it. If you have a problem, it shouldn't be with COP. It should be with your Operations Manager.

I see the Slope is still populated by whiney bitches.....Ten years I worked up there (seven of them on nights) and it never ceased to amaze me how overwhelmingly entitled and bitchy everyone was. It's the oil field, you're not making toys. L48 Contractors have been forced to take rate cuts for the past few years while your native corp. has been let off the hook for political reasons. Man up and be happy that you still have a job. If you live in AK, imagine how far your welfare check will stretch without your slope job.....LOL

I wonder how many out of work hands feel your pain?

Suck it up Champ, and be glad you still have the ability to feed a family when others, through no fault of their own, are not so lucky.
