Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Company wide firings followed by two new online business acquisitions!

I heard yesterday that layoffs are all happening today... institutional employees while recognized for their years of service in the sense that they'd get a clock instead of a pen for their 10 years of service... are not getting that recognition in their severance packages.

Oh, and even better - they announced layoffs to SMs yesterday AND announced the acquiring of two new online companies in the news to try to compete with the other wholesalers in the independent market.

What a joke. Get. Out. Now. if you haven't already. Let the kmart folks and mentality run the rest of the company into the ground before the entire company goes to hell and you're competing with thousands of people with your skillset instead of just hundreds.

Slow Clap

Honestly, I think the new management in Corporate have no idea how to run the company. They do now want to rely on those with years of service who know how things operate around. They think they know what is best and spend millions to implement things to automate and just make it work. But this is now how anything runs successfully. Looking at the last 3 years and those in management they hired, the skills were lackluster. There was those who were good and brought teams to greatness to be fired. There were individuals who knew how to keep things running and run them smoothly let go. Now what happens? These managers and directors are left and have no idea how to do things. They need to hire consultants to do work. Why? Because they have no one to boss. These bosses are just that. No real leadership. Follett let them go. Only bosses are left. Don't do what I say and they cry to mommy.

Yes, I am bitter like many of you. But the piece of crap people I worked for were idiots. Their directs knew this. We got out. We say the light. I read these and cringe. I read them and laugh. I struggle to understand why the board keeps many of these people around. They must know that those who made the company run effectively are being let go. Those in the positions to say a something don't. They as just out for themselves fearing their job loss and listen to the boss.

Oh well. The last few family members are not into the company as the previous. It's sad
