I'm astounded by the degree of waste this company continues to do even at a time like this (and I'm not talking about the lease expenses). Even right now with the money being allocated to capital projects with budgets that seems absolutely ridiculous. One glance at the AFE and anyone with a pulse can identify just how much unneeded expenses are listed on there... They never learn, sad.
Yep, three big drill ships contracted, little to show for the money spent! Almost a half a billion for nothing at all on one of those big vessels! Hundreds of GOM leases and little to show for the money spent! Northern Alaska offshore nothing to show for the money spent for the leases! Angola, wasted time and a bunch of money spent with little to show for it! Yep, a couple of billion of dollars is not what it once was! Yes, a lot of pipe dreams that did not pan out!
So just another month or so left in deepwater. How things change in one year.
