Hour Reductions....why are there not hour reductions? We are going to mess around and wait until its too late to make changes then the only thing that can be done is layoffs..it seems to be the plan

I'm certain a large portion of the staff would be willing to work a reduced work week (4 days/week) and take a 20% pay cut in lou, instead of losing your job. At least the company is retaining workhorses (which they will eventually need when things bounce back), and avoiding the costly severance payouts (which add zero value to the company).
A great idea which I hope they consider. They should also offer voluntary severance options too and get rid of the dead weight who doesn't want to be here anymore.
They should cut the 9/80 noone works of Fridays anyway
Either way they are taking their sweet time in fixing things.
Hour cuts? Lol. They need people off the books to include salaries, 401k contributions, health insurance, and contribution to pensions. You can bet that there will be an announcement that more layoffs are coming. Lower for longer! Get that silly idea of reduced hours out of your head.
