I heard from my manager that layoffs are all done. Anyone know if this is true?
Seems like everyone laid off is over 40 years old. WTH?
Son was cut on Tues. HR does not even give you a proper exit. They do not go over the severance packages and mails them to you to sign your rights away... after you packed your personal affects and marched out the door. What galls me too is when I came back (I work there too) to sign out my time sheet Fri night (I took most of week off as vacation protest) , the management in emails still asking for Nominations for Outstanding Engineer Award. Aint that a joke!
Gary - sorry to hear about your son man. Good luck to you and your family.
Rumors are 5% of US engineering workforce will be cut, along with ISC , customer support and others. As many as 1000 in Phoenix locations? Other locations unknown. Some are "self nominated" (i.e. lay me off please!) but not all.
I just got package and it says around 16000 positions are eliminated. Is this true?
Yeah at Glendale Az I work there. MY son James worked there too until Tues . First thing in morning and he had to get his things out by noon. His manager knew he was a target back in Dec and asked him if he was interested in a job in Torrence Ca. He asked if he was target . She refuse to tell him by saying ok, no buddies safe. I asked her when he told me , again she not elaborate. SHE is guilty as all sin. Son only there 10 months , was a grad. Company even gave him a 4K signing bonus. Comnpany went through all the trouble to get him computer set up, train him on 6 signma. He was number 2 man on EMI testing. Shame on YOU Honeywell . You are shorted sighted greedy scum. You managers want even more profits to pad their bonuses. I have been home since Tues on protest leave (vacation) . I feel quilty I encouraged him to hire on with them only to get screwed.,
At least two in Phoenix Deer valley Aerospace division. Probably more but I only saw one other person walking out with a box.
Shame on Honeywell.
Head chopping exercise then a few days later - wine/dine and rounds of golf on sunny Dana Point, CA. for Senior Leadership Layoff Team at the 6-star St. Regis Resort!
I pray that there be no rain and thunder and lightning on Saturday, as not to spoil the tee-off; and for the media to be able to catch some nice clear photo shoot of these so-called leaders for the public to see.
Corporate rich and famous versus the poor victimized masses.
Hurray!
Hey Honeywell Really? Layoffs on the second day back? You are some sick people. Pretty sad. Used to be a great place to work.
11 and counting from IT. All are US-based. Some with 30+ years of service.
There were at least 5 in Clearwater, as well as most of the contractors were released 12/24.
I know of 8 eng and techs let go from Glendale Az space [that I personally knew from years ago]. 3 had volunteered, there must be many more than just 8.
Every location in eCalifornia got hit today
In the meantime, while the front-line head cutting is continuing, the Senior Leadership Shindig at Dana Point, CA this weekend must go on.
I admire this company's sensitivity and austerity conscious attitude.
