SLB to sell tickets for Houston Rodeo to help meet Q1 financial targets

My company is a total joke now. Who dreamt up this idea?

With that kind of management of your personnel affairs I can only assume you must have been a Schlumberger VP or some other high level executive, Question is which one?

If you're complaining about buying $20 tickets to the rodeo.. or complaining about not being able to take the family, as it's good family time..

Get out in the real world, where someone really gives a ****

You're not hungry enough yet, if you are even THINKING about family activities. Wait until all your savings is gone, your 401k is cashed out and spent, your severance is long gone, the pantry is empty, you haven't made a house payment in 3 months, the tow "recovery" truck is in front of your garage waiting for you to open the door, your CCs get declined at Walmart, you get more bill collectors calling you than friends, you go 3 days without food, and the church anonymously leaves you a few $100s stuffed in your front door for groceries/diapers for the kids..

When you get there... then come talk w me... Until then, be extremely happy that you can even THINK about going to the Rodeo!!!

You're an SLB employee but can't afford to take the family to the rodeo? Seats from around $20? Things sound harsh if that is the case: you may have a very large family, but it sounds like you need a better paying job.

They just keep hitting us employees with more damn cuts. The rodeo is a real fun family thing and now I can't afford to buy those tickets and my family and kids are going to miss out on this. Shame on you

Don't like the company any more? Just quit....

I don't see any issue with trying to keep the costs down

...probably not the case. If you don't like the company then leave. It will save someone else's head
