What keeps you working at Honeywell? There's so much negativity and company bashing on this forum - seriously, it's very difficult to find a single positive comment about working at Honeywell here and yet all of us go to work every day. As a change of pace, tell us what keeps you working at Honeywell. Why have you not quit and gone elsewhere to work?

Company treats every employee well and fair. Unfortunately, I work with some lazy people who milk the system and complains when asked to do work. If I'm a manager, I wouldn't even hire half of the employee.I don't like to say this, being black myself, 3/4 of black employees are incompetent but due to Honeywell being a nice company, I have the opportunity to work for a good company and succeed. Worked for 5 other companies and Honeywell is the best so far. It's the longest company I had ever worked for... 12+ years versus 4-6years on other company.
I have enjoyed my career at Honeywell very much. I have only been here for a few years so I didn't know what it was like to work at Honeywell before Allied Signal took over. I worked at other government contractor companies for less pay and even more issues then I have seen at Honeywell. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. I can't say I'm not scared from the furloughs and layoffs coming up but I know we have a lot of work lined up despite outsourcing. So much negativity....but yet many still go back. Perhaps they need to see how little other companies pay to do the same job....Lockheed, GE, DRS, Northrup Grumman, they all start out at a much lower wage for the work we do.
I enjoy what I do. I am happy in the company. Just hope that I am an assest worth keeping around.
It's been a diverse career and I enjoy it. Change is scary, but God is in control. So, be calm.
HON has been good to me, layoffs are bad but the company takes good care of you
I've been here for a few years; I've been looking for other employment, but there's not a lot out there, and there are a lot of other people looking; lots of competition. And true; it's NOT a good place to work.
