Things are no better here.

Just received a packet in the mail concerning retirement, and how they plan on adjusting it as of dec. 31st. They already took the health care away from retirees, now they want more. I honestly don't know how the next generation of Honeywell employees here will make it to reirement, since no plan is offered to them. good luck with the 401k. Guess our CEO and the next 500 or so under him are not happy with their salaries, they need more!

They can't manage anything.Wanna put college boy idiots in charge, management is clueless.Waste huge amounts of money on the stupidest nonsense. But can't give a raise. They buy successful companies and run em into the ground. They don't do anything more than they have to for the aircraft parts.Like spray painting a turd.

They hit us right at Christmas time. We have less than 6 weeks to decide where and how to deal with a weeks lost pay. Forced across all of Aerospace. This is VERY poor planning and a lousy way to save costs. Someone in leadership needs to be fired over this. This sends a very bad message to employees and to the streets, Honeywell cannot control costs. Rumor has it they just bought COMDEV and after so much loss with EMS they needed to make us some margin, but this late in the year and with no time to plan is indefensible. They claim it is Mahoney’s doing, but you know Cote had to agree to it. You can't layoff your entire workforce for a week and not get the CEO to agree. When will wall street wake up and see Honeywell is poorly managed and only makes the numbers by doing things that will hurt the longevity of the company. It will no longer attract the good folks who want to make a career at one place...My family suffers so some exec can hit his bonus…

For our Aerospace group it is between Nov 23 and Dec 27. A lot of us are losing extra vacation days because of this. A number of us are too busy to get all of our vacation days in as it is, so this gives Honeywell more vacation days that will just expire and not be paid. No carryover of days allowed. The timing is helping them milk us. At least our growing India counterparts don't have to take off :-/

They are also making extra money off of us on Honeywell stock match in the 401K distribution. That is a week that will not get a matching contribution.
