Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Hang in there.... Advice

As an employee that was laid off in April, my advice is to remain vigilant, stay strong and optimistic. The initial feeling is shock and spend sometime addressing the shock. Take the week off to relax and spend time with family. For me it was not about the money then not having a place to be productive. I have NEVER not had a job since my teens and the feeling of having nothing to go to was tough.

Other advice:

Use your network and press the flesh. Hit the street to meet contacts

You cannot spend 8 hours a day looking for a job, so spend time on yourself. Work out, volunteer at the local food bank., Habitat for humanity, etc

Remain focused and optimistic

Look into new opportunities

Look at temp opportunities (Lots of holiday jobs coming up)

My prayers are going out to all those affected, back in April and now. God Bless.
