I got laid off around my son's birthday. No notice. Alot of valued employees were let go and when I got laid off an investigation was going on about discrimination. It's funny how they let go of everyone who could attest for it. And a few days before the lay off, my boss pulled me in to the director's office asking why I did not like him. May i state he was a new manager also and I never stated that I didn't like him. It just seemed to be an excuse to let go of someone. Glad they let me go though because no one should have to work in a hostile environment they have created. May I also state that I was on medication for social anxieties and was always being ridiculed for not "socializing". Hello it's a business. Not a place to make friends. I talked to who I needed and got work done. So sad they care more about a new building than cutting cost from there and keeping valued employees.

To all of those who were laid -off and all of those who will be laid-off... you are ALL better than Noble Energy. If you were shown the door by these idiots it is on them not you. You will find a better more rewarding place to work. Keep the faith!

Not sure of your age... but if your were a senior employee (50 & older) and not a manager, they were looking for any reason or excuse to get rid of you. It was so obvious. Any little black mark in your file and you were gone. What a quality company.
This same thing has happened to other people. Really good employees bullied because they're more focused on their work and doing a good job, rather than gossiping and making friends with coworkers. You're not the only one who has been in a hostile environment like you've described at Noble. It's pretty common at Noble. But hey - better to be gone from that hostile place.
