Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Did you know we are almost 50% indirect cost?

I understand those affected by the lay off will be salary/indirect. Did you know we are almost 50% indirect cost? I think the direct head count is so low we won't be affected, but who knows? They should have developed these coating processes better before giving up so much machining work, 75% of that shop is machining. It makes sense offsetting your labor cost by moving work outside the US so coating development cost wouldn't hurt as bad but it seems it wasn't enough. The economy is bleak in general.

Honeywell has outsourced as much direct costs as possible. At this point, most of Honeywell Aerospace is engineering, assembly, and test.
