Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Any word for December layoffs? The building we are in is well under 50% occupied and is being sold.

Were there layoffs in November 2015? October? September? August? How far back would you like to go? So, you're thinking the pattern will change in December 2015? Getting the picture here? It seems clear that the layoffs do not have a near term end date, they will just go on until they don't. Also seems clear morale of remaining staff is minimal concern, a small risk for the greater substantial rewards to the bottom line of removing more and more bodies. If they think they ever have removed a few too many, they can address that easily. There is no balance to be found, they're just following the trend line, and that is down. Just have to laugh at the bullshit line that they always use that cuts are offset by hiring. I suspect current trends are 10 cuts to each hire and that's probably even more laughable when the hires are categorized by full time versus temporary.

Smells like a redeployment. Your manager will highly suggest you "interview" for a job you have no experience in. That department will be forced to take you even though you have never done that role before ( but they need a warm body) and you will have to learn quickly how to sink or swim.
