Not that interesting, but here it goes anyway - oil prices inched up over the last week, WTI futures were at $41.59 per barrel and Brent was at $44.50 per barrel. As a reminder, a year ago, WTI was at slightly over $75, and Brent was at $77. In short, prices went down about 40% year-over-year (It was exacetely one year ago that prices were falling sharply). #oilprices

I'm sure that uptick was only a temporary phenomenon from Putin's saber rattling in Syria after his fighter and rescue helicopter were shot down by Turkey over Syria. Unless he drops a Nuke on Istanbul I'm afraid the oil market fundamentals being what they are - spelled G.L.U.T. - will mean it settles lower soon.
