IT reductions in GRE

The number out this week - a whopper beyond my darkest expectations. Doesnt the upper management get it? Even if they reduce the user base 80% each application needs atleast somebody (not exclusively) to support it, stretchecd thin as we are already....

ConocoPhillips uses funny math. The IT functions are each cut by 15% to 75% but the overall cut to IT is 10%. Yes funny math.

Other groups cut between 15% to 50%. Are you try to say keeping all IT and layoff rest groups from 25% to 60%. Maybe IT can handle everything. LOL

10% is not big picture. COP information technology is both business unit and global. COP information technology is both employees and contractors. Roles move from global to business unit via global and business unit strategies.

10% as an organization but those cuts can be concentrated in certain areas.

Are IT GRE staff already being notified that they are being let go?

I thought management said notification start in October?

The ConocoPhillips GRE staff are redundant with the GRE staff at ExxonMobile.
