Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

another wave coming

Sorry guys, heard that another wave of pink slips is in the works and will arrive soon in Houston area. While that's nothing new it could be bad as they're going to 'realize' the synergy of the announced merger (i.e., pay for the purchase) and shore up the numbers for this quarter...

I looked up the latest filings for layoffs on the Texas workforce commission. Cameron in houston is on the list with 150 to be layed off in November. Then again, schlumberger is not on the list at all. Weird considering the mass layoff back in April.

Skeptic, I hope for everyones sake it doesn't happen but scum is going to have to pay for their recent purchase of Cameron some how and I wouldn't bet against it coming at the expense of employee jobs.

You "heard" another wave is coming? Heard it from whom? And your source is?
