Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Permian conventional

It's with sadness when I look at this board and I should quit looking. I'm glad to be retired. Looks like conventional has taken a hit over the last couple of weeks with 2 onsite superviosrs and 3 engineers being escorted out the door. Good luck and I'm now done with wondering where this will end.

176343: she felt relief because now there's no one left with any talent or any inclination to question her or anything else. Wonder how long she'll last: she's now her manager's only direct report. Seems like a superfluous layer of BS to me.

Yes, SC was a great assest. I hope it was EOI. If not, he didn't haven't his suction in the right pit. I don't have a clue about completions, did they take a hit lke drilling did?

3 completion engineers and 5 drilling engineers cut from Permian Conventional including one of the most experienced drilling engineers in the company. I wonder how that supervisor felt when she laid off a guy with 4x the experience she had. It's also a shame that an expat supervisor had to layoff all of the US completion engineers in Permian...
