It's a good company to join. A majority of the people (if not all) were let go because their role did not fit with the future direction. For instance if a certain function was no longer needed then the job was eliminated. I don't think there will be a time where BA's are not needed to gather requirements and help with business design.

Is joining Allstate a good move at this time? I am interviewing for a BA position and expecting an offer soon, but this makes me nervous that there are more changes to come.

It's upwards of 50 who got let you yesterday. New focus on technology stack, new direction and rest is history. I heard more changes to come soon..

It's true. Several people I know got hit today. Meeting invitations with HR went out yesterday, and they did the deed today. Not sure how many, but I know of at least a dozen. People I knew were in Infrastructure Services.
