YA, the WHOLE BU is full of worthless talent, bunch of shitheads.

I would like to know about a ROM as well. I'm in SJV D&C, but I've been ranked exceeds expectations for two out of the past three years so I'm feeling safe-ish. This year I had a personal policy to "not do stupid shit" even when it was coming from high up. I wish the whole BU would do the same because there is so much idiocy happening. In regards to management, there is definitely a lot of bloat. Lots of deep-sunk roots that are rotting. I think our VP is legit, but all of the PMs are clueless. Another thing... there wasn't enough lobbying going on to stop the communists in Sac. SB-4 is killing us. And the environmental BS is only going to get worse when the EIR kicks in and we have to get county permits for EVERY well before we can get a DOGGR permit. Lastly, if SB-350 passes, we're toast.
The D&C VP visited last week. This is what he said (long, but stick it out and read between the lines):
There are 4 types of employees:
1) Show up late, long lunch, leave early, do fantasy football all day - to you I say you should rethink your approach at your next job
2) Show up on time, get work done, leave on time - to you I say you should also rethink your approach at your next job
3) Show up early, get all work done, leave late - to you I say we will try to keep you
4) Show up early, get work done excellently, leave late - to you I say you will probably be ok
It's a dying business unit. All they are doing is to fight environmentalists and lobby the Government.

SJVBU has a whole bunch of expats! I fail to see the reason why Chevron is spending so much more on these people. That too in this environment? Aren't there enough competant US based employees to do these jobs? These are low-hanging fruits if Chevron really wants to save some money. Problem is you have a bunch of bozos in the management team!
Yea, they have been too smug thinking they are cashflow kings. Not anymore. Soon it will be red ink all over.
