Just to let you know I am a retired SLB employee. SLB purchased the company that I started working for in 1972 and after 38+ year I decided to retire.
I think that when you let employees with years in the field go, it will hurt the company.
I am now working for a company overseeing SLB projects and it is sad to see the lack of experience with the field personal and the managers.
ALSO NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BELITTLE A FELLOW EMPLOYEE OR PASTED EMPLOYEE OF ANY COMPANY. No one is perfect, and the people that were laid off were hurt and are down on their luck. So no fellow employee has the right to pass judgement on them. Right now they need all the support they can get.
What an idiot. The losers are the companies like SLB who are laying off cause they are unable to weather the storm.

When someone says layoffs are over they refer to their bases not the entire freaking SLB. No one knows that much. Yes they're over where heads are down 60%-for now
