Does anyone have info on potential reorg and layoffs that might be happening later in Q3 2015 at Teradata? I heard conflicting stories, some of my friends still work there, I left in 2011 but still keep track of what's happening with this once great company. You'll see many rumors on the web, so please make sure you are very careful about what you perceive as right or wrong

You never know. The creeps and fat cats at the top level are making millions while the rest of us who built this company from ground up are suffering for their mistakes.
Will the new buyer for TDA be announced on 12/07 or 12/11?!? or were these dates for the layoffs announcement?
This reminds me of what happened to blackberry. Its amazing how quickly a leading tech company can be displaced these days Good luck to all.
What is the broader teradata anyways? Is it International and the Americas? Big Data and the Warehouse? All of it put together?
If there is a buyer for the larger Teradata, do you think it will be announced yet this year?
i think there is a buyer. not for TMA but the broader teradata. mike might just be here until the take over.
This is going to happen sometime . Never thought company will fall so fast . people underpaid , learning curve slow , no clear goals , no benefits at office , less vacation , too much bureaucracy ( i was dire need of vacation , asked for -ve vacation , not approved ) , badly organized code , bad hiring process , HR doesnot listen to market need. feel sorry for the people . all execs are leaving . good luck to all :)
Mike Koehler needs to go. He is useless
It's too soon :( .
I heard 12/7.
And its going to be a wide cut, including in the so called growth areas.
Yep that's what I heard, too. Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Has anyone else heard that 12/11 is the date of the announcement other than the person who posted below?
Yes almost definitely.
Are we going to lose our jobs soon?
The technology is leading edge, the management, strategy and process are stuck in the eighties. Complete overhaul of management needed, out with the old (really old) and in with the new.
Not sure who would want to buy TDC?. It seems like too old a technology with OSS taking over big data.
Seriously? A bake sale to pay utilities in RB? I'd go without light to get a bonus.
Are virtual support personnel being eliminated replaced by offshore staffing?
Is this the end of Teradata?
It could be Dell that buys us out as they took over EMC....Think about it, all of our hardware is Dell.
I hate to say it, but there will be more layoffs hitting Dayton...
Are the layoffs affecting any of the Dayton employees? I am curious as to whether Dayton M & A will be handling a merger or takeover with HP or some other company. How many more company losses and downsizes can Dayton take?
Can somebody list figures per group/location getting the axe? c'mon it anonymous, better been foretold than caught unprepared.
No.
No.
TD R&D in Austin - http://austin.teradata.com/ ? Hmm, is TD going to shut down rb location?
Salesforce?
Bonuses? Given the fact that a bake sale is being arranged in order to pay for the electric bill in San Diego this month, I'd have to think the bonus train left the station back in February.
SAP?
Is it HP or Oracle gonna buy us?
Does this mean no bonus this year? Hopefully only the low performers go.
Marketing apps resources was already informed that they will be transfered to the datawarehouse side of TD next year.
Announcement on 12/11.good luck.
10% company wide, all those concerned will be informed prior to the Christmas break :(
how many of us folks in rb to get the axe?
Significant cost reductions on way
both. they split up the 2 units to make it more attractive for a take over. selling Apps is just a press release ploy
Teradata proper or Apps?
Start the bets on who will buy us!
The industry VPs will be next to go...
