Does anyone have info on potential reorg and layoffs that might be happening later in Q3 2015 at Teradata? I heard conflicting stories, some of my friends still work there, I left in 2011 but still keep track of what's happening with this once great company. You'll see many rumors on the web, so please make sure you are very careful about what you perceive as right or wrong

Do you think India might be affected as well? I feel very uncomfortable right now and the overall lack of communication is perplexing. While I do hope 2015 financial results will be OK I still think that they will proceed with a major job cut effort.

Announcement will be either be general state of affairs statement/outlook for the future, RIF announcements, or end of Teradata as we know it... Will be brutal for another round of RIF's after the execs' "departures".....

I've stumbled upon this site a few days ago. I'm an IT guy from the Ohio area. I was looking at a position with the company had an interview but then right near before or soon after the positions were removed. Kind of dis-heartening but now I see have a better insight with this thread. I was check the stock price each day and rooting for TD. I hope that you all are able to make it through this tough time. I've read all these articles about Big Data, IoT, DataWH and analytics and how its one of the top IT fields to get into but then reality hits and TD is not doing so good. I wish you all the best. There are not a lot of options in this area. I hope the restructure is what you need to get back on top.

The board and execs have no clue on how to run the company. Funny thing is the executives have replaced Rocky with Rick Morton as if Rick is any better than Rocky. They got rid of an exec and replaced him with another that is less competent than him. The ship is going to sink. Jump off while you can.
Carson Schmidt was given a notice and package. It is a polite way of asking an executive to leave the company.
