Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Cornell visiting our store next week. Wish me luck

I heard from a reliable source that the CEO is visiting our store next week. I can only imagine tensions will be very high next week. I've been with Target 14 years and never had a CEO visit so this should be interesting

Should go fine, as he has zero clue what he is looking at or talking about.

I hope Cornell sees the disaster management going on in stores. High turnover? Blame it on entitled millennial ETLs bossing average joes around. Please restructure Target Stores, Mr. Cornell!!!

You should celebrate and not be concerned. He was clear with the fact that impact will be at HQ. However, store closing is a fact of life. That you see a mile away because you know if yours is underperforming.

Deep Throat, shame on you. If you are currently employed by Target you fail to see the reason Target exists...it's the stores that sell the merchandise and strategies cooked up at HQ. Many left working for Target, albeit office (HQ, TI, DC's, etc.) or stores, are on edge and concerned for their employment future with Target. If a store has had few visits in the past it is no surprise that the store team is wondering why they are being given focus. This time your ignorance is shining thru.

Why would you care? Stores complained that the HQ was slow and bloated. Brian delivered. You should be cheerful, not concerned.

I agree with the store restructure. People at the top need to see how stores are truly run instead of STLs/ETLs trying to hide it

Stores need restructuring too. Stop hiring ETLs straight from college. Even though some might not have college degrees, promote TLs to ETL positions.

Stores shouldn't see cuts. They already run on cost-saving measures.
