Now that we're seeing a shift in the Target "CULT"...will we finally be freed of the expectations of management and 'shaming that we must 'volunteer' or participate in "team building' events which are are really forced volunteerism?

You don't get a tax write off for volunteer hours. The company gets nothing for the time you spend volunteering other than being able to say they employ people who give back to the community. Don't punish those that benefit from your help bc you don't like your employer.
Please know that there will be no appreciable positive "culture" of any kind at HQ for a long long time.
@Anonymous75466 - thank you! i'm glad you agree.
Wow, 75222 with your communication skills it is amazing you weren't promoted time and time again. You are truly inspirational.
WHAT! you aren't a fan of Forced Fun and Friendly?!
Target disgusts, DISGUSTS me!
I haven't looked back since i left and haven't spent a dime there either.
A big EFF YOU to all you managers/HR bags that never believed in me and didn't think i would be "happy" in whatever role i applied for. You know who you are EMMA R you dumb cunt.
My own little petty revenge was never logging the hours that I "volunteered". This kept Target from being able to claim the hours as a tax write off. Do I know how to stick it to The Man or what? :)
I do not get a cult part? Every, I mean every successful company fosters a culture of belonging, you got to do it.
No.
