No, they are just going to grab the first 3000 team members that show up after 9am.
People who are over 40 and laid off will receive something called an Older Workers Benefit Protection Act notice. It will include a list of the positions affected by the workforce reduction and the ages of those who are, and are not, laid off. The list of jobs is associated with some kind of decisional unit; sorry but I don't know how the decisional units will be defined for this layoff. The list will not include names of people, just the ages. The idea is to allow you to scan the list of ages and see if there is a trend of age discrimination.
