If Target is going to lay off that many people, they should do it in one fell swoop. The notion that each day, any employee, could face a layoff is NOT the way to run a company. Either shit or get off the pot.

It took General Mills 4 months to lay off 700-800 workers to "streamline" and "become more agile". Ironic, huh?
I hope Target at least does the layoffs quickly. No one at General Mills did any work for months. Just traded rumors and calendar stalked people. How's that for "streamlined" and "agile"?
I would personally run home tonight and start working on your resume IF YOU FEEL your position might be eliminated. Search now before all 2,000 people are laid off.
It will be a slow transition. My guess is TTS will be the slowest to transition with a new CIO. Merch Planning can be automated so Merch teams gotta go first.
Right. To sum it up, all of us will be spending a lot of time on this site.
