I'm no great fan of Target my position was previously eliminated. That said I don't see any facts to support a sky is falling assessment of US stores. If you have facts to share that support you position I'm sure the share holders would love to hear your thoughtful insights. Ranting here does not hurt the company one bit, truly they don't care about what you or I have to say and our opinions won't help or hurt sales. People come here for information about layoffs because they're concerned about their livelihood and are searching for facts or they have been laid off and want to share their experience

To assume those on the 26 floor of TPS are interested in anything but the bottom line is out of line. From CEO down, the focus is not on individuals but on the bigger corporate picture. However, there are marked differences in the organization since the departure of Gregg ... one being a greater inclination towards a measure of transparency. Not being naive enough to believe we have 100% transparency, it is better than in the past. At least with the Canada announcements, once the decisions were made everyone affected learned which of the 3 waves they fell into.
The sky is not falling for the company, even if sizable chunks of hail are knocking out individuals. That is regrettable, horrible, and individually devastating. I have not yet been personally cut but have seen the results in the loss of good friends and former peers, seen and heard their pain and anger. I hope that things will level out soon and the weather turns for the better again.
