@r4x
You must be one of those people causing all the misery.
So this is where all the miserable people come to gripe? It’s a great place to work and grow. If you can’t hack it then leave.
I know a person that got laid off. Maybe a DEI thing since she was a woman. No reason provided as to why she was let go, she was 50ish, so not yet retirement age. It's a shame since she has kids in college to pay for.
Coz we live in the upside down...they are profit seeking physopaths that needs work fone with lowest wages and cheap labor to draw highest profits.
Yes, so the stock price can keep going higher!
@bzrx+1vmCWC36 Well, their job ad does say they have amazing "retirement benefits". Which is funny because this is the same company which actively encourages tenured colleagues to resign without severance. They advertise roles with great "flexibility" and sold this as Amex Flex...except there is nothing flexible with being forced or told to come on specific days...to mingle with team members that have nothing to do with your work.
It is a disingenuous place to work at. Management is corrupt and lots of shoulder rubbing and nepotism. When you get laid off, they will tell you this 1:1 and ask you to hush. I would join a competitor ASAP!
@5rbl+1vmCWC36 Watch how many jobs get posted. If nearly none at all then you know they are in firing mode. Why anyone would stay at that nonsensical place for more than 24 months with sub-par industry pay and mediocrity is beyond reason. Unless you want to work until the day you die there.
No they will ask you to come into the office 5 days a week because a bunch of id--t management consultants told them to do so. Then rely on natural attrition just like they did for 2023 and 2024 to avoid paying out severance. People forgot so quickly about what they did in 2023 during their global restructuring efforts. Insular folks the Amex guys were and are.
It’s a secret. They do not announce layoffs. They secretly let people go or rely on attrition.
