The only happy people at Cigna are the SLT. Heartless, corrupt, ridiculously wealthy self-important people. One and all.
There's zero chance that Cigna will make ANY best list, until they start treating their employees better. All the folks that I know here, we're miserable. Oh, and we're telling EVERYONE just how cr-ppy this company has become under Cordani's 'leadership.' Everyone.
Want to change your companies reputation? Then quit polishing the tu-d that you've made this company into, and stop trying to convince us how 'great it is to be back together.' Give the gaslighting a rest.
Without a doubt, our best, most productive time was when we were fully REMOTE. period. We proved we're capable of having high-performing teams that are scattered across the country and virtual. Make RTO optional. There are some who would choose it. The extroverts and ambitious folks will be the first to raise their hands. Maybe some of your newer employees would jump at the chance. Respect us enough to let us be the judge of who would benefit from in person presence. Or at least let our direct leaders decide.
Acknowledge that FoW/RTO is the worst executed, biggest mistake you've made thus far. CT Tax break be damned. You realize that your people resent the heck out of this company now, right? The best talent is working on leaving or has already left. Those remaining are playing a waiting game hoping mostly to be packaged out.
And remember that we're letting EVERYONE know of your constant scattered lay offs trying to avoid WARN Act compliance. Shame on you.
Be up front. Tell folks, "we're going to eliminate 10% of employees by x time for these reasons", or whatever the story is. How about "we're going to offer early retirement to anyone who meets these criteria..." That would be met with a lot more acceptance than the attendance dashboards, puff pieces coming out from your HR lawyers, and stealth lay offs each month.
Do the right thing. For once.
