World's Most Trustworthy Companies 2024

As expected, Cigna failed to make the cut. SLT, when will you do something right?

https://www.newsweek.com/rankings/worlds-most-trustworthy-companies-2024

The ranking is based on an independent survey of more than 70,000 participants and 230,000 evaluations from customers, investors and employees who responded to prompts like "I trust this company's advertising and communications claims" and "I believe this company treats its employees fairly." It also incorporates "social listening," an analysis of company mentions across social platforms.

@1vqw+1vaQeREL - it's like a we-pon pointed at your head. nothing has happened so far, but who knows about next week, next month, performance review time, etc?

@isj+1vaQeREL - of course it has to be rigged. Cigna is always super trustworthy with both employees and customers. The only way Cigna isn't at the very top of the list is because of chicanery. And you alone have the ability to see through it. Great callout.

But why are you all so worried about RTO? They aren’t doing anything to the non compliant folks. It’s been over an year and no one has batted an eye .

My in-office time is when I feel the most disconnected, the most isolated, and the most demoralized. I do much more work and am much more available at home.

If our leadership blindly prefers where I work vs what I accomplish, ok. Far be it for me to disobey SLT priorities.

This is how unhappy we employees are. My spouse works for another company with several hundred employees, he's in a high position. They were shopping around for group health coverage a few weeks ago for their company and they were strongly considering switching to Cigna. He knows all too well how I feel as a employee working here at Cigna that he convinced them not to choose Cigna. My spose knows how miserable I am, how many colleagues I worked with have been laid off, and how much stress I have been since RTO. It was competitive between Cigna and our local BCBS/Anthem for out of state employees, and they chose BCBS. If this decision was being made 4 years ago when I was happy with this company, I am sure my spouse would have advocated to choose Cigna. Word gets around. Treat your employees right and be ethical.

Can you imagine the caliber of happy employees that Cigna would have if they were 100% remote? They could maintain smaller offices for on-site meetings and I bet save a chunk in real estate costs!

Cigna is a 3rd world company. Few Americans in this company.

The only happy people at Cigna are the SLT. Heartless, corrupt, ridiculously wealthy self-important people. One and all.

There's zero chance that Cigna will make ANY best list, until they start treating their employees better. All the folks that I know here, we're miserable. Oh, and we're telling EVERYONE just how cr-ppy this company has become under Cordani's 'leadership.' Everyone.

Want to change your companies reputation? Then quit polishing the tu-d that you've made this company into, and stop trying to convince us how 'great it is to be back together.' Give the gaslighting a rest.

Without a doubt, our best, most productive time was when we were fully REMOTE. period. We proved we're capable of having high-performing teams that are scattered across the country and virtual. Make RTO optional. There are some who would choose it. The extroverts and ambitious folks will be the first to raise their hands. Maybe some of your newer employees would jump at the chance. Respect us enough to let us be the judge of who would benefit from in person presence. Or at least let our direct leaders decide.

Acknowledge that FoW/RTO is the worst executed, biggest mistake you've made thus far. CT Tax break be damned. You realize that your people resent the heck out of this company now, right? The best talent is working on leaving or has already left. Those remaining are playing a waiting game hoping mostly to be packaged out.

And remember that we're letting EVERYONE know of your constant scattered lay offs trying to avoid WARN Act compliance. Shame on you.

Be up front. Tell folks, "we're going to eliminate 10% of employees by x time for these reasons", or whatever the story is. How about "we're going to offer early retirement to anyone who meets these criteria..." That would be met with a lot more acceptance than the attendance dashboards, puff pieces coming out from your HR lawyers, and stealth lay offs each month.

Do the right thing. For once.

If my long life has taught me anything, it’s never to trust these types of lists.

“ The ranking is based on an independent survey ”
Doubtful!

I’m betting the “best” buy lots of ads.
