Last layoff cycle I had two supervisors illegally ask me why I didn't take the EOI. Just saying to have an answer ready but don't state that you are thinking about it because that will get you laid off whether you want it or not.

There will be web pages and calculators for the EOI when it is available. It will be a lump sum payment of a number like 1, 2 or 3 multiplied by your years of service and one week of your current base salary. There will be an upper limit like 52 weeks pay.

So, if you have 10.5 years as of your last month, a salary of $200,000 and the multiplier is 2. You will get 210.5200,000/52= $80,769.

In the good old days, it was not base pay but total remuneration so the severance could be huge, like 2.5 years base pay.

What an uninspiring leader MW is. Who would follow this joke into battle.

If you decide to EOI, do you find out what the severance will be ahead of it being finalized? What if you EOI, and then find out the severance is nothing special.

If you are opting for EIO, make sure you understand what/if there is a rescind period in case you get "buyer's remorse".

"how EOI works". You volunteer be laid off and recieve the severence. Then you hope that they accept your EOI becasue if they don't you continue on as dead meat walking. Most people get it when they ask.

from the Good to Great Book - When BoFA was getting crushed in the 80s, they fired most of their leaders and hired tons from Wells Fargo… during that period, they were called “Bank of the Wells”

If you wanted to make this all as demoralizing and demotivating as possible, I can’t imagine a better process than this. A year? Be prepared for all performance to plummet

JFC these clowns are making this as painful as possible. Sometime in the first quarter they’ll let us know of the concept of the plan, and then another year of nonsense. Do they have any idea what’s going to happen to productivity? Morale?

Not to worry guys it’s happening today. Mark told the leakers/leaders to keep their mouth shut on the call so theyre being shy. Boomers will rejoice as you’re getting EOI.
