Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

The new normal

Why are all the operation jobs in India? You barely see any execution or accountability roles in the states anymore.

Yeah, if you ever travel to the BGC district of Manila you'll see that nearly every major office building has American names on them. I imagine Bangalore is similar. Trump is pretty much all talk and no action so I wouldn't expect any changes in the continued migration of jobs to I&P.

For all of the anti-RTO people out there, if your job can be done remotely, it can be done cheaper in India.

India is a BRICS sh1thole. 85 million people don't have toilet to call their own. God bless.

India knows how to do agile. They have been taught this and do so without the anti-agile patterns (such as micro-management) that US old-timers do.

Every new Ops role in our dept. or backfill of an existing Ops role in my dept. are now based in I&P. They said all of our Ops are going to be in 'Global Delivery' aka not the US.

Because it's cheap, and that has pumped WFC stock price up, which has meant huge performance bonuses for CS. Meanwhile:

I love this part: "Despite the ongoing struggle of India with cybersecurity challenges, it received support from the company. In fact, Microsoft increased cybersecurity investments in India. This is to address the cybersecurity risks present in India’s IT industry."

We heard for years that banking is built 100% on trust. If your customers can't trust you, you don't have a bank. So what's CS doing? Sending all the company's data and operations to a country that is notorious for cybersecurity risks. Brilliant.

1/3 the salary and WF pays only like $250 a year for their medical because India has universal health care.
