Go to hiring board now and type in m4. That’s director level. You will notice all but one list NY as primary hire. Look up team and responsibilities and see these are M2 and M3 jobs being posted as higher for more $$$ else they couldn’t get it in NY. They could get it in MN, TX, NC, or AZ tho.
For more fun search for M2. These are less skilled mgrs. 75% if postings are in Asia. They are moving that level over. Doubt they could find enough of the M3 quality there.
Pick your Magic 8 Ball, Ouji Board or Dartboard. They are just as useful in determining who gets laid off. Stop looking for blame. Everyone is out to protect their piece of the pie. You just happen to not have a pie, a slice or a fork .
Been here more than 2 decades, end of year layoffs are a long-standing WF holiday tradition.

Yeah, this is exec driven. No manager believes in the lies about RTO or LS. We implement directives from above. Nothing more. Could someone make a principled stand and refuse to conduct the term meeting? Sure. They'd still wind up in the term meeting though. Just not as the presenter.

Managers have no say in when someone is to be displaced. That all is decided by Displacement Operations.
