Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

As a non-union employee

I support the strike. I only wish it can somehow trigger the overhaul at the top of the company. I know it’s not going to happen, and I know that is not the purpose of the strike. But it definitely shed a bit more light on bad management and the bad toxic culture they installed in T. Workers in general should stop buying into the narrative “be thankful you have a job”. We have a right as anybody else in the US to fight for our interests.

You shouldn’t support the strike for that very reason. It won’t change a thing other than maybe the company will concede another 1/2% in wage increases for a small group of people. And the rest of us will have to pay for it. The executives never do.

I'm private employee currently capitalizing on the SE ATT strikers for the last 4 weeks & I've made mucho Americana dollars. Got Benjamins in my pockets. Your Bosses tell me the Union workers are going to replaced by us.. I'm working very hard every day and doing all of the Union jobs. The customers are very very happy to see me. I'm very thankful for being in your country USA.

The public corporate elite will never be able to justify their compensation packages being multiples in the hundreds of times an avg. employees. They have Cadillac plans with golden parachutes despite their performance. They are an employee of a public traded company but have been able to rig the system in their favor with Wall St who are complicit in the GREED SCAM.

Right because close to $100k for light construction work is not enough. It is no wonder our customers or the public have no sympathy.

A lot of workers going on strike these days. I wonder why? Could it be we’ve been under paid and unappreciated for far too long while those at the top reaped all the rewards? Everyone has seen their quality of life deteriorate the past few years. Historically there have always be upheavals after a pandemic or poor economic times. History often repeats.

“ Same, I hope West goes on strike too and together they push for better conditions overall.

It’s gotten awful here the past couple years.”
