Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Life's so much better now

Gone from T for six months and things have improved on all fronts. At my new workplace, things get done quickly, without all that unnecessary hand-wringing or worrying about management’s egos. Meetings are brief and straightforward. Politeness and friendliness are just how people are now. The number of a--holes in management? Way down. No one tolerates id--ts, and they sure aren’t getting promoted. And honestly, life outside of work? Truly amazing!

Fake news. No one comes back to this site after they leave the company.

Yet, here you are.

One thing is for certain, when I’m gone I won’t be wasting my time on this site.

None of you shall escape the all encompassing grip of the Stanks malevolent tentacles!
All who leave the reservation will go the way of the buffalo!
Atone for your sins and pucker up!

Recently laid off as I refused to move to Dallas. My level of stress and misery went from 100 to 0. Finally I can breathe free of the toxic environment. Taking walks, eating healthy. I was on 5 medications when working. I dumped them all and now taking care of myself. I’m feeling much better and happier. Priceless.

What are you having on your boat for lunch today, fresh grouper, redfish or triple tail?

Life is great flipping burgers at my current gig. As far as I know, there is no literal bu11sh!t in these patties. That chick running the counter is hawt, much better than the old maid hags from my office prison years.

“Things are so good you still track the layoff board?”

I retired from AT&T last year after 24 years and I track the layoff board on a regular basis.
I enjoy reading up and commenting on polarizing topics while I relax on my boat off the Georgia coast. Why? Because I can. I feel that it’s my duty to call out bullsh-t as a means to warn or provide insight to employees navigating through similar struggles that I experienced while working there.

Layoffs, nepotism, character as-----nations, back stabbing, poor decisions, ineptitude, weak leadership, no leadership, reorgs, more reorgs, rebadging, lies, illicit vendor practices, inequities, injustices, funding scams, project scams, cash cows, complicit clowns, town hall tales and humorous hubris. (just to name 1%).

TGIF everyday.

Same here. And I track the layoff board occasionally because I heard about the strike.
