Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

U.S. Mobile

Even if you want to stay on the AT&T network, why would you ever directly use AT&T service? U.S. mobile is an MVNO. I was paying more than $70 a line for AT&T's cr-ppiest unlimited plan.

With U.S. Mobile I pay less half that! I get all the same benefits including the same QCI, hotspot, a much better customer service experience, and I can switch to Verizon or TMo (and back) any time I want.

Or, you can literally get unlimited talk, text, and 2GB a month for $10 a month (!!!) INCLUDING taxes.

The only benefit I really thought was decent about AT&T was international day pass. But they jacked up the price on that and U.S. Mobile has a perfectly fine international roaming add on that's much cheaper than T.

There's NO reason at all to stay with T!

AT&T was the best thing to happen to T~Mobile.
All of you will miss the sublime Stankey and his elite cronies.
You'll be back!!

“ I dropped T and went to spectrum ( Verizon) MVNO , went from $70+ to $30 including taxes and fees.”

The down vote on this has to be the guy that still believes in the Santa. Low IQ people abound.

As a retiree. I moved to T-Mobile also 2 lines for $65 on the senior plan unlimited data. Half of so-called AT&T‘s retiree discount amount. Plus I got a new iPhone no charge! The T discounts are pathetic…..

If you're still employed with ATT the family plan discount is quite inexpensive if you have enough people on.

Otherwise go with a MVNO.

You have to dog on their site a little bit. Magenta 55+ is $70 for 2 lines.

These are quality posts. Keep these coming. I’ve found that most employers have an agreement with att that covers 70-80% of what our discount covers. If you ever hesitated to leave because you don’t want lose the discount, don’t. Wireless discounts are garbage and internet is competitive. The only thing Att has left to save money on, is the employees. The discount benefits su-k. Read that in your mean messages Jer

Clarifying the OP - If you have U.S. mobile, you can literally switch between the 3 major carriers within your U.S. Mobile plan, all while keeping your same phone number. It takes a few minutes to take effect each time, but is easy to do.

T-mobile has no current plans, even with senior citizen or military discounts, that would cost $70 for 2 lines.

I’m in TMobile for years now and pay $70 for 2 lines. 5G unlimited data, text and calls + Netflix + unlimited international text and data use. Top that T!
