Stankey's inflated Compensation

AT&T CEO John Stankey's $26 million in total compensation for the previous year surpasses his contemporaries at Verizon and T-Mobile after a committee adjusted his long-term target compensation by $3 million.

Giving themselves a much higher % raise than they give everyone else is the real crime.

Knowing Stankey, it must make him cry every morning, knowing that Elon Musk makes what he makes every day.

inflated ego

Does he really? Legg has the inflated ego - always cussing and gaslighting whenever someone questions him.

Stankey is just a boring CEO who is essentially a nobody, especially compared to the likes of John Legere - the guy who built the T-Mobile everyone knows today.

When we spun off WarnerMedia and DIRECTV, we should have spun off the proportionate pay from Johnny. That generous considering he lost $50 B of value.

Stankey's aggressive acquisition strategy at AT&T, including failed attempts to buy T-Mobile and successful purchases of DirectTV and TimeWarner Media, significantly increased the company's debt (Billions). Such decisions by an employee would have led to termination. Now, Stankey is prioritizing shareholder value by increasing the stock price, at the cost of job cuts and a return-to-office mandate. Once the stock price reaches a favorable level, he will probably retire and cash out, leaving the company to potentially face financial difficulties for years to come

So he complains we are too bloated with headcount compared to competitors yet he’s raking up millions more than his own counterparts.

Make it make sense.

Why doesn’t he apply the same comparison to himself that he does to the employee base. Whining like a sap about T having more mouths to feed than verizon. Don’t be a hypocrite Stank. Cut your compensation and align it with the CEO from Verizon.

Here is the one and only question that should ever be asked at Stankeys next town hall: “John, if you were surplussed like so many others here at AT&T, do you think Verizon or any other telecom would ever consider hiring you as their CEO?”

The answer tells you all you need to know.
