For those saying Wealth, any idea on what roles within the Wealth space will be affected?
October 10th for wealth management
Yea, I have gotten some angry look or can’t you a different cube, I don’t want to move when I find someone sitting in my reserved cube.
So awkward, faq tells us to teach them how to reserve a cube. lol, in reality, people get mad when you tell them to do something
This neighborhood setup makes my life miserable when working from the office. No one on my floor cleans their area after a day’s work. Also if you reserve a cube in a certain area you have to worry about people getting mad you moved by them. There are many rules on what needs to be done or followed but there is no one enforcing them. The flex offices are not supposed to be reserved for all-day use but I see people who lost their office just sitting in a flex office all day anyway. Good luck to the other hubs that are starting the transition. I hope it is better for you than I have experienced.
What department in WCIB just had layoff?
Well, we were the latest casualty of the recently formed WCIB or the ripple effect from the UB-USB merger. Six of us were recently laid off and together the six of us FTEs we had 166 years with USB - all in Ops. We are not relocating and taking the severance package and chill! This was unexpected, but we will survive and get through this undeniable difficult period and move on!
P.S.
“Loyalty Bankers for Life”. The wound is so deep and still bleeding!
They started on Friday 13th.
90 days, they need 90 days to get you off the books. So you might be walked out and your tech confiscated, and get pay til the end of the year. Or they may make you stick it out for a retention bonus. Dude, if you’re waiting for a miracle, take off the rose colored glasses, get your act together and leave. Plenty of opportunities out there.
This preparing to become a hub is tiring, poorly organized, and makes me feel like I’m going to be a squatter. The atmosphere has become so sterile and depressing. I’ve started researching other jobs outside of banking and feel I need to take the plunge and explore new opportunities. Thank you USB for the motivation!
Well, I don't have to worry about lay offs, cause I gave my notice and today was my last day. Free at last 😁
September 20. Lots already know. Some have been told “October timeframe”
After Senior Leadership has allowed the Fraud Investigations Team waiting for information for 3 weeks about how many of us are losing our jobs, I’m guessing my fellow teammate's will happily fill in everyone else on what is happening as soon as the bloodbath starts. As a full time remote employee we were told just a few weeks ago that being remote didn’t mean we couldn’t be promoted..pretty sure it was a lies. Don’t for a minute think the lay off talk is just paranoia, it’s coming we just don’t have an exact date due to the lack of transparency and honest communication from the leaders of this company. To my fellow remote teammates: this is horrible, but try and remain positive and hope that everything happens for a reason and we will all end up at a better company that treats their employees with the respect we deserve.
Notice the patter - when someone type something ,this one show up 3-4 days later rehashing the post for engagement...something is up
What area are you talking about?
I get the sense that a lot of us are waiting for the shoe to drop.
Both the uncertainty and lack of transparency seem to be weighing on a lot of us.
Can confirm many coming in oct but if you think NONE in Sep, I highly doubt that
