Re: Leadership reviewing Trifacta code.

The code wasn't looked at until AFTER the acquisition. Zero of the folks who had typically done technical due diligence in the past had access until the deal had gone through. Allegedly.

This is uncommon; it's usually done during the quiet period after a deal has been announced and part of the stipulation of the deal.

Once DK was forced out, Engineering no longer had proper representation or pull at executive levels. To me, that bungled deal sealed the fate of Alteryx and squarely lies on SV's shoulders.

Acquiring another tech company without due diligence is indefensible. It was a huge problem among many problems, but it was what tipped everything over.

A few good people got pushed out when they spoke up and used empirical data to show that it was a bad idea to use the Trifacta crapform that Alteryx acquired. Allegedly.

PE is bleeding every penny out and will be throwing the AYX carcass on the bonfire.

Any chance AYX merges with someone else?

Suggestion:

Mandatory monthly LYRA HEALTH meetings with each department. They have the resources to make it happen.

One of our upcoming projects in marketing and demand gen, believe it or not, is to investigate the reasons behind the decline in our metrics across all channels.

Hahahahahahaha no way. Please tell me this is a troll post

They should just blow up that whole demand gen and web team, fire its leader, and put all of the people under Brand & Comms.

My team works with demand gen and web by proxy. There are wonderful people there, but their leader is not one, and if someone from Clearlake and Insight would just read the complaints, she'd be gone.

That entire team is afraid so say anything. You'd have to put a g-n to their heads and force them to speak up against her.

The People & Culture team has a former Trifacta/PR person there, so nobody trusts HR because Kandee Kayne installed her loyalist who will protect her at every corner of this decaying company.

Any word on those 'three CEO candidates'

Same as always. 'Maybe. We'll let you know.'

If we do get a new CEO, then it's time to wave goodbye to our current team. New leader will bring in their own people.

Digital Marketing produces the most boring individuals.

Who wakes up wanting to be a marketer? C'mon...

Well, rumour has it that there is increasing un-happiness in PE-land about this group, and that changes are a'coming. Actually, they've already started.

Yes, PE supervisors think Demand Generation failed (or so I keep hearing). But let's get real—everything failed. Our social media presence is a joke, and even our subreddit is practically dead.

Actually, they've already started.

Hiring another Web and PR person? Is that it? WTF is that going to do. lol

Not to mention that they continue to bleed people to greener pastures (Genesys, and other places) month after month.

Well, hats off to that whole team. They pulled off a move nobody saw coming.

Seems about part for the course, as far as I've observed & experienced.

Who smokes anymore, anyway ?!?!? LoL.

OMG Digital Marketing is an absolute train wreck. Definitely if 3/4 of those folks were laid off, the business wouldn't skip a heartbeat.

So sad to see more and more people leaving Brand + Comms for greener pastures

Genesys is what you meant to type. So sad to see our entire Brand team go to Genesys.

she was puffing away during a group call

Confirmed. It was kind of wild. She didn't seem to give any fs.

There are definitely layoffs continuing. Maybe not big cut layoffs, but trimming is still definitely occurring.

There will be quite a number of people who won’t be coming back after the end of the year — either by their own choice, or involuntarily. The numbers of these folks are in the 100+ range.

It's questionable, especially after she was puffing away during a group call. Forgot camera was on, or just dngaf. 🤷🏽‍♀️

LMAO. Must be bay area gas. Was was method of consumption?

She's in dire need of some emotional anesthesia after tricking Massamillo and then tossing him into unemployment line. I keep it cordial. She has a 'scorched earth' policy when it comes to relationships.

And you folks, you're finally rubbing the sleep from your eyes. It took three rounds of layoffs for the corporate veil to lift like a fog in a badly written drama.

A lot of really defensive Trifacta people on this thread, LOLz.

Can you count how many there are?

Y'all ought to be ashamed of yourselves for what you did to Alteryx.

LOL. Giiiirl, CD strikes again! She's hiring for new role, not with the flair of a CMO or CPO, but with all the necessity of an extra pair of tights in a fashion crisis. The web and digital team's days are numbered as Accolite Digital awaits.

Give it a few months, and her latest picks will be out the door. Her judgment? It's questionable, especially after she was puffing away during a group call. Forgot camera was on, or just dngaf. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Well, October has come and almost gone.....no layoffs yet.

Plenty of ongoing attrition, though. No need for layoffs when folks are dropping like flies.

Who, apart from CD, is still with the company?

Oh, there are PLENTY of Trifacta people still around. In product, in marketing, in HR, you name it. Pull your head out, look around, and do the research instead of making stupid, easily disproven statements.

I believe that during the time when our previous CMO was present, her behavior was better in comparison to how she is now. This may be true, but that's simply because she was under the thumb of one of our previous CMO's (worthless / incompetent) "vps".

Don't worry -- she'll be gone soon enough.

Okay.

CD is the most hated person at Alteryx, and Trifacta is trash.

Oh no...no, no, no. There are still plenty of Trifacta cockroaches skittering around Alteryx. The most talented and smart ones have left, but the ones remaining are milking/bilking the company for as much as they can before they bail out.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Don't unfairly criticize all employees just because of your personal issues with Trifacta.

Calling them cockroaches doesn't help.

You doing okay? No need to be nasty. It's not like Alteryx sent out company-wide naming every single Trifacta employee. What did they do to you?

Trifacta and Alteryx drama continues.

🍿🍿

Could someone please provide us with some context.

One party claims Trifacta was a scam involving subpar code, which raises the question of whether Alteryx's leadership was reviewing what was underneath the code of Trifacta when it came to Designer Cloud, given that they went through an acquisition and spent a year and half promoting their flagship product, Designer Cloud?

Given the questionable situation surrounding Trifacta and Alteryx's Designer Cloud, one must wonder how such a mess could have occurred.

Were the parties involved intoxicated during the signing of the agreement or did the process take less than 10 minutes?

Trifacta was acquired by Alteryx for $400 million in cash. WHERE DID THE MONEY GO.

Who, apart from CD, is still with the company? Which Customer Experience department suffered from the loss of a talented individuals who previously worked at Trifacta?

There are some REALLY bad Trifacta folks around. Digital Marketing lead is probably the most obvious example of the worst. I truly feel for the people under ... and around ... her.

She doesn't accept responsibility and lets nobody disagree with her. Her control over team members led many to resign. She's a control freak who rules by bullying and yelling. If something fails, she'll find a way to blame it onto someone else.

I believe that during the time when our previous CMO was present, her behavior was better in comparison to how she is now.

Mate, it seems they are blessed with not one, not two, but three demand generation directors, if you can believe it! And, I'm told, two of them are rather... redundant (overpaid), shall we say.

Wait, what? I thought Alteryx laid off all the people from Trifacta. It's puzzling that the company needs three directors amid declining programs and interest.

Strange place.
