I’m currently on assignment for contingency and have really been enjoying the work. Being outside has been a nice change of pace. Is it possible to move to a technician position permanently?

I am enjoying the addition $1,700 a week on top of working outdoors in this beautiful end of summer weather.
You willing to take a pay cut?
Because they’d probably make you move to Dallas to fill an Alabama tech position .
I’m with you. I’m deployed and this job is so easy. No stress at all. Just driving around grabbing a few cards and plugging them in. 12 hours goes by like nothing. Seriously, I want this job now.
If there’s an opening that isn’t filled through the transfer bureau, which then goes to the street for hiring, then you can apply. So prem tech. Good luck with that.
Can you give us a follow up after that Cat2 clears out. I want to know if the skeeters are as big as they say.
Why leave unlimited unpaid OT with no comp time, cleaning your own cube, guaranteed pay increases or 1-2 years severance after seniority bump?
No. AT&T has decided you need to quit and re-apply for a technician job.
You have to take the technical knowledge test and pass to qualify for a technician position. You can have mine, I'm ready to leave this insane asylum ASAP!
I agree. It is nice, actually. Pretty easy work too. Beats sitting at a desk all day. The day flies by.
Why would you want better benefits, pension, pay and job protection? Are you dum?
It’d probably be easier to learn technical skills and become an individual contributor.
A lot less stress than actual ‘management’ and a lot less having to talk to mo--ns.
It’s still T though, so it still su-ks.
