National Executive Board approved a strike. Its on the CWA President's desk ready to sign.
You think West will strike or what is CWA pulling here?

They ain't going out or they all ready would have! They ain't missed a check yet. What happened to cwa unity? One district in, one district out. They both should have done the same thing.
are you expecting some kind of life altering new contract?
It's stupid is rallying around stupid. The harsh reality will set in when their precious ULP falls through. The ground is even more shaky for CWA West, given they've already reached a tentative agreement once before.
It doesn't take a lawyer to see how weak the ULP claims are.
to all you boneheads ready and willing to strike: are you expecting some kind of life altering new contract? Go work for PG&E or UPS if you want better wages and benefits. it aint happening at At&t

Yes, Stankey has a proven record of making wise business decisions.
Unless the company refuses to come back to the table, I think D9 ought to at least wait until the next offer is on the table. I mean, the negotiating team thought the last TA was acceptable so that meant they thought the company was bargaining in good faith, so unless you want to call an economic strike (which I don't recommend), you have to at least wait until the company fails to act or offers the same/worse as the failed TA to invoke an ULP strike.

Alas, 'tis true. Hopefully, not only does T come to the table ready, but CWA comes to the table with specifically what parts of the TA needed improvement instead of having to invent the wheel again.
