Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Make it make sense

Admittedly I am not in the room, but I have been trying to keep up with the different positions on key items. The union wants to flatten the zones to one, but doesn’t it cost much more to live in certain areas? They don’t want the healthcare costs based on the National average when healthcare is cheaper in the SE.

"Healthcare is through the roof due to Obamacare."

So their healthcare is going up because of Obamacare, yet the union backed Obama. You made your bed, now lay in it.

Your bidenomics have made it so zone a area’s are completely unaffordable & zone b,c areas are like living in nyc 5yrs ago. Cwa is attempting to make it financially acceptable for their members not to take a pay cut due to healthcare over the life of the contract. Healthcare is through the roof due to Obamacare. This is the life people have chose. So don’t be surprised when unions want to move with inflation & ask for more money & cheaper healthcare.

Majority of the work and employees are in major population areas and the zones haven’t been adjusted for decades, metros and population has grown exponentially.

There are very few Zone A’s highest cost, vast majority are labeled as zone C which is the lowest cost. The company has the outside employees located in Zone C but dispatches them to adjacent Zone A’s to work without any differential. You can’t tell the difference in work or living standard from one to the next these days, only in pay.
