Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Posts are disappearing

I do not know what to think about posts disappearing,

One where someone shared that RTO guidelines no longer have a 30 mile constraint. A second asking if mgmt also will report to hubs. I think another talking about survey scores.

So in some city, 5 miles can take over 1 hour during rush hour, that’s not a reasonable commute to waste 2 hours a day struck in traffic so you can talk to your teammates on team

Well we all know that reasonable commute time is under 30 minutes so anything over that is unreasonable.

The 30min radius was removed in the workforce FAQ 8/2024. It now says “reasonable commute”. So there’s that!

the RTO policy has been rewritten to intentionally be vague. This way they can pick and choose the ones they want to keep by having an ambiguous policy thats flexible when they need it to be

@1trp+1uj3pp9p talk about missing the point. It’s not about removing generic RTO posts but more along specifics that were modified or never mentioned in the FAQs that were questioned and thus removed here.

@1twg+1uj3pp9p Lays out the rest of the argument nicely so I’ll let you read it.

There were no derogatory comments by the posts that were removed. In one, the question asked was what and how is leadership and mgmt adherence to RTO being tracked - or are they exempt.

Another post was about the 30 mile radius being removed and replaced with reasonable commute based on mass transit and commute distance. A question was raised regarding the vagueness of the update. What is reasonable commute? More than 1 hour on the road, twice a day? If there is mass transit availability, what is the commute time if that is taken? How close to the Hub location is the drop off point? Had that time and distance been factored in?

To have posters removed that are asking questions says it all and says a lot about transparency. From what I recall, the posters and responses were not rude or derogatory.

If we’ve come ti s place where questioning is considered derogatory, then we’ve got bigger problems than posts being deleted.

Take off your tinfoil hat. There is a bunch of threads about RTO still standing, if your theory was right why would the mods leave those intact? IMHO, as long as your post is inline with the website's ToS, mods here don't care if it's about RTO, the management or the toilet paper. Avoid courses and derogatory speech and your post should stick.

Oh? That is quite interesting about posts "disappearing". With the whole RTO push I fully expect Exec and Senior Mgmt to show up at least 4 days at the office. After all they need to do better than us minions to have those lofty titles. If they decide to not adhere to RTO then they've accepted to not be leaders (at least not the kind that lead from the front) and don't deserve our respect to their policies.

Yeah the ridiculously long FAQs doc on workforce strategy doesn't say anything about the original 30 mile radius. I'm beginning to wonder if that ridiculous length was a "strategy" deployed by ElCero.

Bottom line ... they're working hard to make employees quit on their own to avoid paying severance. It's a cheap shot but hey ... it's straight outta the McK...y playbook ... nothing new.

Just go to the Working Together site and download the RTO FAQ. They removed all mention of a 30 mile radius. They can try to silence us here but word has spread. Now they plan use any arbitrary mile radius to determine who is in a hub market.

I hate the obfuscation and cowardice of the C-suite's actions. If they plan to remove the 30 mile requirement, they need to stand ten toes down on it. They need to stop treating us like children and instead treat us like the adult professionals that we are.
