Having been in HW for many years I have seen many acquisitions have the life su-ked from them. Many businesses that were once dynamic and thriving on acquisition are now only shadows of their former self and in some cases no longer exist. During the later stages of the Cote era, the Honeywell operating system made significant improvements to manufacturing, but not to other areas of the business in my opinion, especially R&D/Marketing. Successive initiatives have been much less effective and have made little impact. Surely there must be some businesses that have really grown under HW management (Aerospace? Although it doesn’t sound like it from the comments). Where are the success stories within HW. Does anyone have anything positive to say?

@1ffhf+1ueCculS Brilliant!
my department has been hiring nonstop. we do legal work to get negative and sometimes false social media posts removed.
Nope. Leadership is desperate to make it look like it tho’. They’re cooking the books as much as they can. When are the auditors coming? Soon I hope -people will be fired! Probably the wrong ones and they’ll be replaced with unqualified people. Downward spiral is in motion.
@lsau+1ueCculS Honeywell is where you go if you can not find a job anywhere else......we literally had members in the team that had NO qualifications or experience in the field. It was outrageous, people designing life safety equipment that should no background......mind blowing!
@1sgs+1ueCculS To quote you directly :
"All the rest of you complainers, please find another company to work for, oh you can't because other companies only hire WINNERS, not LOSERS!"
So you claim only losers who can't work anywhere else remain at Honeywell.
I really can not argue with you there. Rock solid statement if ever I saw one.
It was the d-mbing down and mass exodus of talent why I also left the company.
I am glad you recognize yourself, self awareness is the path forward.
What is going on at Glendale Aero? Mfg engineers being reduced.
All the vay to India.
The Canadian operations reek badly and cannot attract or retain quality staff.
To the sad person that sacrificed vacations and holidays for 40 years to meet deadlines - are you proud of that? For a company like HW, that doesn't give a flying F*** about you? Do you have a family? Wonder what they would say about it?
No, but know one they pounded into the ground-Cabin Management.
HR is not a “business”. You and everything associated is called Cost and no amount of happy HR activity will generate so much as one paise of revenue.
honeywell is doing great selling all things military. war and rumors of war is the traditional path to wealth.
@3wsk
I see what you did there. Nice try, but not quite. Feel free to try again.
Speaking of HR: in Aero, are "The Karens" still terrorizing the masses? Three or more levels of HR management named Karen....
@2ajr+1ueCculS Yep, without a doubt she is HR. They do attract a certain type and a Honeywell does knows how to pick 'special' ones!
The more negative the rating for a comment the more it reflects the truth. A bunch of whiny complaining babies on this site always complaining about Honeywell, please let your mommies know you are on this site again, she heated your hot pocket for you.
HR is kept busy, they thrive! The only unit not capable of earning money for the business is the one most invested in. Always a new training video for you every month or another ridiculous hoop to jump through whilst simultaneously driving away or firing yet another high quality employee. I once worked in the Charlotte office near HR, they are truly awful both personally and professionally.
HR GPT at your service
@1hjj+1ueCculS She's in HR, and looks like we pushed all the buttons.
@1sgs+1ueCculS
Honeywell Gen AI example right here folks! Not quite human, completely ridiculous. At least fake humans are easy enough to detect at present.
If @1sgs+1ueCculS really was there for 40 years, he/she/it would be more disgruntled than most since they would have experienced how different the first 20 years were from the last 20.
I can't speak for the original Honeywell since I started on the Allied Signal / Garrett side, but it was once an employee friendly place to make into a career.
Maxpro Cloud and Maxpro intrusion. 10 years
@1sgs+1ueCculS You are funny, I guess every town has it's clown. You slipped up again by the way, you changed the number of years you claim to have worked for Honeywell.
I am growing to like having you around, its entertainment, I picture you jumping on the website first thing every morning desperate for the next thread to get offended at.
I do question though if you truly are an employee or a salaried troll to drive up traffic on the site? I am certain by the way you speak that have never worked at Honeywell or perhaps even in any corporate/professional position. Just odd.
Certainly not in HBT or in IA/SPS.
Maybe some parts of Aero are bloming for a while until grant money dry up. Then it will be usual sequence - furlough, layoff.
Please, the majority of comments on this site are negative towards Honeywell because the people reporting negative comments are total losers, slackers, and believe they are entitled to success without ever performing to those standards. I work for Honeywell for 40 years, worked hard, sacrificed vacations and Holidays all in the name of my TEAM being successful and it worked. We pulled off many exceptional deadlines and the customers were ecstatic for our contributions to help THEM be successful and my TEAM felt validated for our effort in the big picture. All the rest of you complainers, please find another company to work for, oh you can't because other companies only hire WINNERS, not LOSERS!
@1yxz+1ueCculS Ain't that the truth!
does HR count as its own business unit?
because they thrive even when the rest of the other business units don't.
Apparently those software teams that were cobbled together into HCE have crashed and burned. However, the folks doing stock buybacks seem to be going great.
I can not honestly think of one in IA/SPS.
