Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Has anyone actually seen layoffs?

Thank you for the entertaining and engaging rhetoric about layoffs. Everything from fact, fiction, hyperbole, speculation, gaslighting and just plain bullshyt has been posted here. So, at the risk of sounding corporate; can anyone circle back to the original intent of this site and answer the simplest of questions?
#1. Has anyone been laid off?
#2. Does anyone know anyone who has been laid off?
#3. Has anyone been told by their leadership that they will be laid off?
#4. Have any bargaining unit employees been advised of a layoff coming?
All very simple and easy questions right? Now, let's have at it.

There is finding out in advance
They do not have to use the warn system
If management is acting weirder than normal ,that’s your advance notice

How did you find out in advance? What should i be looking for?

Leadership does not tell you in advance that you will be laid off. You find out when you are called into their office and they start reading from a PPT slide.

I was laid off in April but was fortunate enough to figure out the day before so I was able to clear out my stuff and walk into the meeting with my company phone, badge and keys.

So until the next layoff actually happens, no one will know about it. BTW, my manager was not informed. I was laid off by someone further up the food chain.

You have to take into consideration that 99% of the time, nobody is going to announce that a layoff is coming. This information is only shared when required by law. So your questions are really a misguided attempt to deflect from the matter.

Consolidations may not mean layoffs, we had to give up space in Melbourne for a team moving from new Hampshire. I’m sure some won’t come, but as I’m told they were going to relocate the employees.

To OP, no evidence seen so far.

The investor relations package says in no uncertain terms they are planning to consolidate approximately 75 locations as part of LHX Next, which is a 3 year initiative spanning 2023-25. Some closures happened already back in April, but it’s a safe bet more are coming.

The rumor is at Greenville
Packages will be offered to around 50 employees only
And the remainder will be Riffed
That doesn’t sound to bad
Like I said rumors only

The answer to all your questions (at least from me) is NO. Why? Cause I don't work for L3Harris. LOL!!!!
