Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

IA Layoffs - Poor business performance

Layoffs all across IA were announced. It is unknown the total impact at this time but performance from IA has been circling the drain recently.

Past few Townhalls VK has been adamant that performance from IA needs to improve. This was just a warning, a preview of coming attractions. Word is IA will not see additional layoffs in Q4 but unknown and up for debate.

I saw some people in SETS get laid off while they were at HUG in Dallas around customers. Incredible.

@4jod+1uPql4cb Delusional much, if you had any awareness of IA over the past few years you would realize it has lost its engineering, manufacturing and design talent certainly not produced it. That is why it is on its knees right now, game over.

It seems to me that the most valuable product that Honeywell has produced from IA the last few years has been engineers and their managers. Too bad HW isn't getting compensated other than reduced costs.

Wonder how RIF would improve the 'business' other than just a short term relief on operating cost. The business needs to improve either by restructuring or reorganizing the business to make it profitable. Downsizing will just make it worse

This is poor management. Curious to know the size of the lay off

There is always a point of no return. If you fire specific part of experienced people, the whole grup never recovers and only drop into decline. That is what already happened in Intelligrated. So if someone decide to save even more money by RIFs, at this point it is just accelerating the downhill. But management repeating same fails again and again is still in place of course.

I too would be very interested in what units got hit. I am in Intelligrated and I haven't heard of any evidence of it yet. But that is not saying much given my desire to limit my exposure to Honeywell outside of this site. I guess I'll know when I try to contact someone that I'm currently working with.

These were all successful businesses until Honeywell ruined them.

It’s losing money because HW management don’t understand the business and don’t have the correct management approach to solve the issues.

Well overdue. They would be better off flogging off half the businesses at what ever price they can get.
