Sale of CAS is still blocked by the injunction that Thales took out until the results of arbitration come through apparently.

We are hearing SAS will see the largest consolidation of it's real-estate footprint particularly with aging facilities like Clifton probably closing by late 2025. COVID delayed the plans to move this unit to Florida but they seem to be back on track with renewed urgency. Probably why there's a freeze on upgrades and promotions in Clifton.
As expected, the RTO people did not quit in droves as many had threatened to do so. That means the personnel reductions will come from more layoffs in October 2024 and again in April 2025. The force reductions this past April in Clifton greatly exceeded the 5% average for the company. Because of disappointing contract "no wins" and continuing workmanship issues, SAS appears to be overstaffed company wide. Look for force reductions in this division in 2024-2025.
If you're planning to re-locate to Florida to improve your prospects of staying with the company, don't hold your breath. You will be treated as a new applicant who is "not from Florida". And that means something down there. Believe me. Don't waste your time on a U-Haul to Florida. You'll find yourself broken hearted, hitch hiking back to Jersey.

I don't know what St Pete CAS is but I'm guessing it's the Saint Petersburg something?

In San Diego today we're moving in some folks from the Imperial Beach IMS site into the Kearny Mesa SAS location. Looks like site consolidation is underway.
