The security leadership under PB seems to be steering the company straight into disaster. There’s a growing sense that former FBI and Law Enforcement employees, who are now part of the company global security team, are acting without oversight. Many of these individuals, who didn’t get the action they wanted during their government careers, are now allegedly involved in highly questionable activities, raising serious concerns about how the company is being run.
The company is currently under criminal investigation in multiple regions. These investigations are particularly focused on the interrogation methods being used. Reports indicate that the American security employees have been employing controversial techniques, such as the Reid Technique—a method that’s been banned in several countries, including the UK, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand due to its potential for coercing false confessions and even crossing into torture. There are allegations that these employees used such techniques abroad, subjecting individuals to extreme psychological stress, intimidation, and other potentially illegal tactics. These activities are now under scrutiny by authorities in various jurisdictions, raising the question of whether these actions violate international human rights laws.
One of the individuals reportedly involved in these questionable practices, has allegedly been moved from Kazakhstan to Thailand. Although it isn’t officially confirmed, there’s a strong chance he’s under investigation for serious accusations and may be trying to avoid further scrutiny. His involvement has only added to the growing list of concerns the company faces.
Meanwhile, HR outgoing leadership is said to have taken advantage of this chaotic situation to further her own agenda, leaving the company to operate like a rogue entity with no real oversight or control. Good thing that she is on her way out. With all these moving parts, it feels as though the company is spiraling, with its leadership losing grip on any sense of accountability or regulation.
MW will likely be asked about this in the next earnings call. Investors should be very concerned.
