Keep strike going. Managers are getting ready for a labor day and most will be on vacation next week. Let’s see what T can do for customers.

This about company using Unfair Labor Practice tactics. They can discuss content of the contract once, the company starts bargaining in good faith. Currently, it’s been all bad faith. Once it happens then talk about things like, how the Company makes billions in net profit and exec compensation.

Channel Futures article;

May 17, 2024: AT&T CEO John Stankey's $26 million in total compensation for the previous year surpasses his contemporaries at Verizon and T-Mobile after a committee adjusted his long-term target compensation by $3 million.

Manager with a CP assignment here (haven't been deployed this time - I was deployed in 2019). The trainers basically told me "look, nobody expects y'all to do the work". Honestly it's insulting to the technicians to think that that training can teach us to do anything useful.

“managers and contractors have you covered. in fact, take an extended leave. in fact, don't come back, no one here needs you.”

lol, I've been through "training" 3 times for outside install & repair, no way no how could I do the job, besides the training's not really complete...

at the first in person session, the instructor asked how many people compleed the online training, then he said, does anyone realize they never showed you how to fix anything? he was correct, hours of classes on meters, and troubleshooting and finding breaks, short, issues with the cable, never told you what to do when/if you find it... (ok grammar police, go rip apart my poor run on non punctuated sentence)

That’s a very conservative estimate that doesn’t take into consideration OT, standby, & truck roll costs. Wire Techs covered in OT, lots of C&E OT with fiber overlay, BFS OT with summer storms passing out new ciena boards at cell sites like candy at Christmas time….
