Are the union dues I paid over 10 years going to be repaid to me at my current wage?

"Paid". Not "payed". Money well spent there, clearly.,

Dang. You got me there there. You might get a reprieve from being fired if you are selected for CP duty. Just kidding. Your job is going to Satesh and Kamal. They will do the needful.

Yes CWA and IBEW exist. Verizon techs are able to join.
I consider my Union dues payed for my College degree. No outstanding student debt here. No desire to go into a management position where I would lose Healthcare in retirement and my pension would stop.
I'll leave this clown show at age 55. Funded 401k and lump sum. Not sure if I'll take my 5 weeks vacation + 2 weeks of time off, or if I'll have AT&T pay me out when I leave.
Unions were started for a reason, research the late 1800’s to mid 1900’s. Robber baron days and sweatshops. People were literally worked to death, severely injured and maimed. They were without any benefits just, like the sweatshops that corporate America is off-shoring their work to today. All the perks and benefits the white/blue collar class enjoys today is because of labor strikes and lot of workers dying. Do your own research.
Is it a perfect system? No, it needs rules and regulations to fight corruption and bad actors but it sure beats the days of recent past. Can most middle to lower management at AT&T say they are better off without a contract? Only the execs and c-suite have compensation packages, aka.. golden parachutes, without any consequences or accountability for their performances. All others are at will and on-demand.
No , non Union techs do NOT enjoy the same pay and benefits as their union counterparts. Company has plenty of NMNU employees. And they get royally sc--wed by att. They would love to join the union but they are not permitted. I have a NMNU co worker in my crew. Does exactly the same work as the rest of us but gets less pay, less vacation, less sick time , less every thing. And he has no recourse. He is a at-will employee. That’s why it is a privilege to pay the dues and to be a Union employee. It pays for itself many times over.

Not sure about this. Non-union techs enjoy the same benefits as union members (minus the picket line beer) if they do a good job everyday.
“Union dues are like insurance. Hope you don't need the protection, but glad it is there if you do.“
Your first year raise paid you a lifetime of dues...... With Out a Union we would all not be here ......ATT would love to contract out every job here....Facts over Feelings
Not sure who has leverage anymore, the overpaid techs aren’t getting paid right now so maybe it’s ATT on both ends.

One benefit was after 8 years, an added 240 hours (30 days) sick leave with a doctors note. I cannot recall the actual amount but everyone in mobility at our center went to the same doc for a note for the cost of a T paid office visit. Do to abuse this was lost in a contract review and was intended for heart attacks, cancer, and broken bones. HIPPA protected reps from providing details.
It really has nothing to do with the daily savings. It all boils down to what pay, benefits and job security they can shave off the next contract. All three of these will be negatively impacted whether there is a strike or not. The union has very little leverage due to their historical givebacks.
I was looking at that from the company's perspective. Does the company see the CWA saving them $4M per day, and are they so greedy as to allow this to continue for that reason?
