Nope, no one that is or would be laid off had a contingency. that was on purpose... if you got a contingency assigned earlier this year your job was safe through the year. if you didn't, well then, it wasn't.

A coworker got a contingency assignment... I didn't, so I got laid off on August 9... I got a 50% severance, while he is keeping his job but about to deploy to the middle of nowhere for who knows how long. So who really won in this situation?

No. The company just move Wave 3 up by six months, probably because they were not getting the cash flow they needed and have to get employees off the books quicker.

“ This right here! Mass layoffs are coming for all. Management and craft. T has to make up the cost for paying out all those raises once both districts settle their contracts.”

I suggest they start with Stankey’s large bonus and raise, work their way through the c-suite then, everyone else is good. I’m sure Stank and c-suite can survive on their millions and hundreds of thousands, salaries. Haven’t heard of any exec’s or c-suite positions being off-shored for huge savings, after all we have budgets and a business to run. Lords and Serfs…Robber Barons!

Tell your employees they should not be attempting to block pedestrians using marked crosswalks. Someone with nothing to do with your company is going to get hurt.

“ The size of the layoffs could be affected by the added cost of the new contract that district 9 and district 3 will get. Att is trying to cut 2 billion in expenses during an inflationary period.”

Management couldn’t care less about union slugs. All talk and never any action which is why you continue to lose benefits ,job security and any Level of respect. Every single contractor that’s hired makes us smile.

The work stoppage will delay larger surpluses and the return to 5 days in office.

The company did not want to announce 5 days in office and risk that affecting Contingency Planning morale.

But as soon as the stoppage is cared for plan on MUCH larger layoffs to offset contract costs and in office 5 days.

Happy Monday!

Makes perfect sense. I bet all RTO wave 2 reductions, and any surplus in works will be put on hold. Similar to when we had Covid. Stink must be fuming he can not transform the culture as fast as he wants.
